I did some research and found out that coating the silverware in the cream of tartar paste and paste of lemon juice. I was wondering if there is any other way.
If it is real silver, the silver polish should do the trick. There are even cloth silver cleaners. If worse comes to worse, but not recommended, you can get the rust off with Brillo/SOS.
